Language adviser

Maria Potvin is a multilingual linguist with a special focus on teaching and supporting multilingual learners, and a Cambridge-certified English language trainer. As a mother raising two children with three+ languages, Maria understands firsthand the joys and challenges of nurturing multiple languages at home. 

Through her work, Maria empowers families to embrace bi-/multilingual development with confidence. She specialises in creating personalised Family Language Plans that help parents set realistic language goals, plan on how to achieve them and find balance among the languages and cultures they hold dear. 

Maria’s mission is to support parents in building a nurturing, language-rich environment where children feel a deep sense of belonging and pride in their linguistic and cultural identities. She believes that by celebrating each child’s unique background and planning thoughtfully for their multilingual journey, families can foster strong connections, boost confidence and set the stage for lifelong success.
